Busy..Busy...Busy

Wow, we have been really busy the last couple days. I can't say we have done much but before we know it the day is over. Yesterday, we took the girls to the library. Madison and Mallory have always loved the Library. Now they have a great Librarian and assistant and they love it that much more. They always have crafts out do and the girls think that is all it. Sometime we have been at the Library for 2 hours before we know it. Like yesterday, they made a really cute snowman out of cotton balls, snowman ornament and snowman coloring sheet. Of course, Eric had to make a few of those crafts also. He is such a kid when it comes to making crafts. The girls think it is really cool that daddy loves to make crafts and they always try to copying what he is doing. What a good daddy!
Eric and I washed windows today while the girls had a play date at Kaylie Miller's house. They have not seen her since preschool so they were so excited when she called last night. They are home now so I better wrap this up so they can tell me all about it. I will let you know how it went.

Laughlin's Christmas

Well, our last Christmas is over. Now all we have to is some exchanges. Last night, the girls decided it was time for their first sleepover at Jena's house. Well, since Madison hasn't been feeling to well then mean ol' mommy said no. Let me tell you that totally broke their heart. I don't believe that they would of made it but I don't know they might 0f surprised me. So Jena stayed all night with us. They decided they were going to stay up all night. So mommy and daddy said sure what ever you want to do but we will be getting up to go to church. So around 11pm they came downstairs and were whining because they were tired and they didn't want to tell Jena. You see my girls really like to sleep in their beds with each other and that is it. Madison don't even like to go to an hotel because she wants her bed. We finally got everyone calmed down and they were all off to sleep and didn't wake up until this morning. Mallory was the first to wake. She is always up before anyone. I think it is because she wants to come in and cuddle with mommy and daddy a little before Madison wakes up. I think she needs that a little alone time with us. Which is perfectly fine with me because the best thing is to wake up cuddling with one of them. Eric got up and fix them chocolate chip pancakes and we have not seen them since. Jena is teaching them all kind of dance moves. Now that is cute! I better get going so I can get this house cleaned.

Easy Bake Oven

Our First Creation from the Easy Bake Oven! Believe it or not, they were tasty. It only comes with one cake mix so I had to get on the Internet and figure out what to do. Well, all you have to do is take 1/4 of cup of cake mix and some water and BINGO you have an Easy Bake Cake mix. Then you put the rest in the frig and it should last about 12 weeks. Tomorrow we are going to try to make pizza. Once again, I am living through my children. Plus, we got an icing kit. Now that is neat! I can't wait till Tom's Birthday so we can decorate a big cake with it. It works great! Watch out Tom... your cake will be the best this year! Now we are moving onto trying to convince Eric to make Popcorn with his Outdoor fire pit popcorn maker. I will let you know if it happens! Right now, he says no but he does live with 3 girls that know how to work him....:)

We Wish You a Merry Christmas! 2nd Version

Here is another version to We Wish You a Merry Christmas! Watch Drake on the end...all I have to say is poor Madison. Oh if I could keep them young forever. This has been the best Christmas! Today we have played, played and played some more. Yes, our house is a mess but who cares! I look forward to this day every year. I quess you can say that is the kid in me. I don't know who has more fun; me or the girls.

We are ready for Christmas at Papaw Bob's House

We have been flying around here getting ready for the next three days. So much to make and do to go to each house. It's all worth it because on Christmas (Jesus's Birthday) we stay home. We don't leave the house all day. If anyone wants to see us they are more than welcome to come to our house. We play all day and celebrate Jesus's Birthday. It's kind a like a Party! Anyway, It's all finished and we are on our way.

Our Cookies

Our Sugar Cookies.....Don't they look yummy?

Icing the Sugar Cookies

Tried a new recipe for icing this time. Oh it was soooo much fun. We painted the icing on the cookies. It dries like hard icing cookies you buy in the store. It was so much fun and easy to use different icing on the same cookie. Here is the recipe:

1 cup on confection sugar

1 Tablespoon Light Corn Sugar

2 Tablespoons of water

1o drops of food coloring.

I will post a picture of them in a little bit!

I Got an A+ on my Check Up

Back from Dr Isch's office and I checked out O.K. He said my Gallbladder was really infected. I'm glad that is done and over with.....

DANCE TIME

The girls decided to get in their dance wear and dance to the XM Radio. Oh it was blast. They are pretty good with beat but I don't know where they get some of their moves. Enjoy!

Sugar Cookies...Yum Yum

Boy of Boy making sugar cookies this year with the girls was a blast! They were able to roll, press and put their cookies on the sheet. I wasn't running around doing it all while they pressed the cookies and yelling I'm ready. I'll a picture when they are finished putting icing on them.

Mallory shared her germs with Madison.

Once again we headed to Lafayette to the Arnett Clinic. Madison and Mallory loves to get sick on weekends and holidays. Never fails that Friday night one of them will get sick and the Doctor's office is closed. Madison was diagnosed with Acute Tonsillitis an Ear infection. Plus, the Dr. sent away for a Strep test. I'm sure she has Strep because she has the exact same symptoms that Mallory had last Sunday. It's been a tough time for the Murphy household in the last 2 weeks. Please keep us in your prayers that we all may get better so that we can have a great Christmas.

School was cancelled...Christmas has began!!!

The girls were excited they didn't have school today. They went downstairs and jump on the computer to play Playhouse Disney. Daddy had his computer home from work so they didn't have to share this morning. This morning we had Playhouse Disney on TV and on 2 computers with Playhouse Disney on them. Mommy was going nuts..... So I told them if they were both going to play on the computer they needed to go get their headphones from their FP3 players and I was going to turn the TV to the Today show. It's not like I actually sit down and watch it but it is nice for background noise. As most of you know, that was one of the problems I had when the girls went to school. IT WAS WAY TOO QUIET! Well, Eric goes back on nights so we will get to see him a little more. He works these 4 days and he is off "12." We are so excited! We love to stay home and play with all of our Christmas toys and play games all day. We are also planning on going Ice Skating...I will let you know how that goes.

Sharing a Cute Video

I thought I would share a cute video of Madison, Mallory and Landon singing "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" They were so adorable. Every year Smartsburg Christian Church has a Christmas party where Santa is the special visitor. He even brings a gift for every child. I remember it as a child so it is so much fun watching my children enjoy the same thing. After you get your present everyone heads downstairs to eat a bunch of Christmas goodies (junk food). We usually bring a huge plate of Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches so that we can at least have a sandwich with all those cookies. .

Madison got her new glasses today. She was so excited to get them. We picked them up and left and she says everything is fuzzy...What does that mean? Anyway, we been giving her personal eye exams all evening she can not see in them at all. So we will have to call the Doctor tomorrow and see what is up. She looks soooo cute in them. Thank goodness they don't make glasses like when we were kids. You know like big round bottle cap things....yuck. She didn't pass her eye exam at school and so we had to make an appt. with the Dr. She is having problem with focusing. Hopefully, with the help of the glasses, she will outgrow it and will not need glasses again until she older.

Madison and Mallory's Christmas Party at School

Mallory with her Cupcake
Madison with her cupcake

Madison and Mallory had their Kindergarten Christmas party today. Of course, mommy was there to help. We had a blast! We played Christmas bingo, Pin the Nose on Rudolph, made Rudolph cupcakes, and made food for Santa's reindeers on Christmas Eve. We are ready for Santa this year. We have a stop sign to put out, reindeer food, letters to Santa and tomorrow we will make cookies for Santa. Yesterday, they got a letter from Santa and he said they had been good and he would be by on Christmas. WOW....they were so excited.
